As the nights draw in and the weather cools, I have a yearning to actually get some of my coding projects started again. I updated my development VM to Ubuntu 9.10 but realised that it's a little bit of a mess since I haven't used it for so long that I can't remember what state it was in and where I was up to. So, job one is a complete reinstallation of Ubuntu and trying to get it set up a bit nicer to make it easier for me to do stuff.
It seems that you still need to compile rubygems from source on Ubuntu because of stupid problems.
