Finished aligning windows machines.

I finally finished getting the Windows VM disks on our NetApp storage aligned. Woohoo!

Update on Gemma's problem photo

As I mentioned previously Gemma had an issue with an uncredited photo being used in a way she didn't like. I'm pleased to say that the anti-dog site and the South Shields Gazette have both removed the image from their pages. Had they not done so, our next steps would have been to invoice them for unapproved use.

Coding again

As the nights draw in and the weather cools, I have a yearning to actually get some of my coding projects started again. I updated my development VM to Ubuntu 9.10 but realised that it's a little bit of a mess since I haven't used it for so long that I can't remember what state it was in and where I was up to. So, job one is a complete reinstallation of Ubuntu and trying to get it set up a bit nicer to make it easier for me to do stuff.

It seems that you still need to compile rubygems from source on Ubuntu because of stupid problems.
